Nepal 3.2 -LAKE PHEWA-

After the dissapointing non-sunrise view from Sarangkot, Suresh brought us to a Temple which nobody is interested to see because we had visited zillions of Temples in Katmandu so that visit ended prematurely with Suresh wondering if we were pissed of.
Of cause we were pissed off for making us wait for him this EARLY morning, he is the Tour guide, he supposed to wait for us but Temples are simply boring stuff. They Sounds the Same, Smell the same but they are not the same.

On the way to trekking we met with two Cows, cow is a sacred animal, also the national animal of Nepal. Cows are worshiped special during festivals such as Tihar and Cow's dung and Urine are used during Puja (Act of honouring, respecting or worshiping Gods). Although, Killing or Eating Cow Meat is a Felony in Nepal but steaks are available in all made-for-tourist restaurant.

A morning view of Pokhara Street is different from its night which is full of neon lighting. Pokhara lies on an important old trading route between Tibet and India but now it’s a tourist spot. Situated at an altitude of 827m from the sea level and 200km west of Kathmandu valley, the city is known as a center of adventure.

Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in the kingdom, roughly measuring 1.5 km by 4 km, is the centre of attractions in Pokhara.
The lake is about 47 meters at most but like most Nepal Rivers it’s not clean as its use by the locals for cooking, cleaning, shitting and others daily usage.

This is the most important religious monument in Pokhara, it was built almost in the middle of Phewa Lake.

We met a few buffalos bathing in mud, not as cute as they look. It can be pretty scary walking pass such a muscular animal. But buffalos are not cow, killing a buffalo isn’t a crime but buffalo meat is as hard as steal.
The way up isnt as easy as i thought, it took us 1.5hours including at least stopping for five times.
The half way view...
This kinda gates is to make sure no cow can go through... LOL!
World Peace Stupa built atop a hill overlooking Phewa Tal. The pagoda isn’t very massive but to build something like that on top in this location which isn’t accessible by motor-vehicles only can be done by super-human porter.
The trek are leeches infected terrain, regular stop will enable leeches to "jump" on your skins.

Leeches that sucked our blood are small, about 2cm long only. Not a big loss, LOL!

Nepal tourist spots don’t have enough dustbin in fact the whole Nepal doesn’t has enough dustbin. Just imagine its riverrrrrrrrrrrrr

The way down is 10x easier than up, as I have finished 1.5litres of the 2litres Water i carried as well as 2 cans of 100plus and a few MARS & Snickers Bars. wakakaka... but most of those still inside my stomach.
Nepali kids just love their pix being taken. Looks like Power Ranger to me, Blue Ranger, Yellow Ranger, White and Red Ranger.
Although, going down hill is easier than uphill, we still face some obstacles from the Holy-COW!
HEAVEN & EARTH!!
